Unauthorized use of conveyance: A victim reported she loaned her 2004 gray Lexus to a home health aide to use for “a couple days.” After four days, the car had not been returned and the victim called the aide to ask for its return. After six days, the victim filed a stolen car report. Police contacted the aide’s employer, and the car was returned without damage, according to the report.
TRASH TROUBLE

Dumping: A woman building a home reported someone used her dumpster, which she pays $600 per month to empty construction materials. She contacted a person named on a discarded package and the garbage was retrieved.

Suspicious vehicle: Police informed a man from Quebec he was violating a town ordinance against camping. The man said he was returning to Canada and police watched him leave.
WATER WOES

Suspicious Circumstance: A man returned home from a three-day absence to find water running from a hose on the east side of his house. Caller said he had no idea how long it had been running.

Illegal Fishing: Police cleared the Longboat Pass Bridge of about a dozen anglers fishing illegally. They returned at 8:37 p.m. to clear five more anglers from the bridge.

Home alarm: Police reported the alarm for “Man Cave 2” had been activated a fourth time in five days.
ALPHORN PRACTICE

Noise Disturbance: Neighbors complained to police about a woman practicing an alphorn, an instrument used by Swiss shepherds. She told police she will practice on the beach during the duration of her stay.
