Basketball

The Lakewood Ranch boys team beat Central Florida Christian 73-48 on Dec. 10. Junior Damien Gordon led the way with 11 points.

The Mustangs girls team went 2-1 at the She Got Game Classic in Upper Marlboro, Md., including a 58-46 win over Wise (Md.) on Dec. 10 and a 75-55 win over Bishop Loughlin (N.Y.) on Dec. 11. Senior LaDazhia Williams had 31 points against Wise. 

The Out-of-Door Academy boys team defeated St. Stephen's 55-43 on Dec. 9.

The Thunder girls team fell 47-45 to St. Stephen's on Dec. 9.

Soccer

The Nolan Middle School girls team won the Manatee County District Championship 3-0 over Buffalo Creek on Dec. 9.

The ODA boys team beat Sarasota Military Academy 5-0 on Dec. 9.  Sophomore Filip Svoboda had a hat trick.

The Thunder girls team defeated SMA 7-0 on Dec. 9.

Golf

At Rosedale Country Club's 18 hole ladies individual low net event on Dec. 8, Deb Miller (73 over) won Red Flight 1, Susie Meloche (73 over) won Red Flight 2, Diane Hennessey (72 over) won Red Flight 3, Deb Kehoe (80 over) won Red Flight 4 and Lynn Hassell (64 over) won the Combo Ladies division. 

Barbara Robinson won the Nine Hole Women's Golf Association Four-Club Tournament on Dec. 8 at Palm Aire Country Club, shooting a 31. 

Lynn Lockhorn and Marty Gersman, and Mary Jane Sanacore and Mari Jaffe won a "9 Holer Roll 'em" event at University Park Country Club on Dec. 8, shooting a combined 34.
