1 — The Nolan Middle School girls soccer team defeated Buffalo Creek Middle School 3-0 to win the Manatee County District Championship on Dec. 9.

2 — Juniors Emma and Sarah Fazio were named co-MVPs of the Lakewood Ranch girls basketball team’s 75-55 win over Bishop Loughlin (N.Y.) at the She Got Game Classic in Upper Marlboro, Md.

3 — Out-of-Door Academy sophomore goalkeeper Chloe Spingler held St. Stephen’s scoreless in the Thunder’s 2-0 win on Dec. 8.

4 — Braden River junior Amiya Hopkins had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the girls basketball team’s 46-36 win over Venice on Dec. 8.

5 — Braden River senior Deoni Cason had 15 points in the boys basketball team’s 82-54 loss to Lakewood Ranch on Dec. 9.
