SATURDAY, Dec. 17

Riverview wrestling is participating in the first Army Southside Duals tournament at Boca Ciega High School. Junior Zack Buchanan (132 pounds) is a name to watch for the Rams. He came in second in his weight class Dec. 10 at the 35th-annual Hernando Kiwanis Invitational. The tournament starts at 12 p.m. Friday and runs until 8 p.m. Saturday.

SATURDAY, Dec. 17

The Cardinal Mooney boys basketball team will host the Cougar Basketball Challenge. Sarasota will be among the six teams participating. The tournament starts at 12 p.m. and is scheduled to run until 9 p.m.

MONDAY, Dec. 19

Cardinal Mooney boys soccer hosts Bishop Kenny at 6 p.m. The Cougars have a prolific offense, and they’ll need it to step up against senior Mason Martin and the Mustangs. Martin had 39 goals last season for Bishop Kenny.

TUESDAY, Dec. 20 - THURSDAY, Dec. 22

Riverview girls basketball will hosts the 2016 Lady Ram Jam Holiday Tournament. Booker and Sarasota will also be taking part in the eight-team tournament. The tournament starts at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, and the championship game will be played at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
