Blazers repeat as district champions

The Sarasota Christian girls basketball team won the Class 2A-District 9 title Jan. 29.

The Sarasota Christian girls basketball team captured its fifth straight district title with a 46-41 victory versus Keswick Christian in the Class 2A-District 9 championship Jan. 29. 

McKenzie Lantz scored 19 points to lead the way for the Blazers. Alyssa Schrag added 16 points. 

As the district champion, Sarasota Christian will host Seacrest Country Day in a Class 2A-Region 3 quarterfinal, at 7 p.m. Feb. 4.
