A cut shot 'fore' the neighbor
Jan. 25

Information only: A teenager was mowing his front lawn on a riding lawn mower. He didn’t see a golf ball that was lying in the front yard. When he mowed over it, it shot out of the mower and hit the neighbor’s front door, which was made of glass, and broke the door. Because the incident was only accidental, the reporting party requested an incident report be filed.

Disturbance: A man walked into his bank and demanded an insurance check he was owed, but bank employees told him it had been mailed to him. The man continued to yell at the employees until the assistant manager told him to leave and that he was calling the police. The man did leave the building, then took photos of the employees’ tag numbers on their vehicles, and left before the deputy arrived. The assistant manager told the deputy he was concerned the man would return and the situation would escalate. The deputy gave him a case card should the disgruntled man return.

Simple assault: A man filed a report with the Sheriff’s Office because earlier that day, the boyfriend of his ex-spouse confronted him in his workplace parking lot and made threatening remarks to him. The man drove away, but wanted the incident documented with the Sheriff’s Office and requested information about getting an injunction against the boyfriend of his ex-spouse.

8300 block of Lockwood Ridge Road
Information only: A supermarket employee called the Sheriff's Office because a man approached her while she was working and made threatening remarks. The woman said she was working near the self-checkout counters when a man approached and said "Mama, I'm not trying to scare you, but every (supermarket) with an electronics department is going to blow up." The woman noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the man, and he would not make eye contact with her. The man then paid for his groceries and left the store. The deputy who responded got a copy of the man's receipt and a CD of the man on (the supermarket's) surveillance.
