NAP TIME

8:04 a.m. — 6400 block of Gulfside Road
Suspicious Person: Police saw a man sleeping in the garage of a home that’s under construction. The man told police he was waiting for the rest of the construction crew to show up. The construction manager confirmed he was a crew member.

PAYPAL PROBLEM
2:25 p.m. — 3000 block of Grand Bay Blvd.
Fraud: A man received a bill from PayPal seeking $840.33. He never opened a PayPal account. He filed a fraud report.

PART OF THE CREW

6:05 a.m. — 700 block of Broadway
Suspicious Circumstance: Police saw the door of a restaurant propped open with a man mopping the kitchen floor inside. He reported he was part of the cleaning crew, and his story held up. 

BOAT BREAKS FREE
9:49 a.m. — 6000 block of Emerald Harbor Drive
Boat: A woman told police she looked out her window and saw a small boat wedged against the aft of her boat, which was up on a boatlift. The manager of a nearby marina had no idea the boat broke loose during a windy day and retrieved it. The manager said he would pay for any damage to the boat.

ACTIVATED LISTING

11:58 a.m. — 500 block of Putting Green Lane
Burglar Alarm: A real estate agent told police she is under contract to sell a home and accidentally activated its alarm when she pulled on the side garage door. The homeowner confirmed the agent was in the process of selling the home.

SAFE AND SOUND
12:22 p.m. — 500 block of Ranger Lane
Security Check: A homeowner called police and asked them to check his side garage door because he believed he left it unlocked. The door was unlocked, and police secured the door.

TALKING TOUGH
2:59 p.m. — 5400 block of GMD
Civil Disturbance: A woman told police she has been in litigation with her condominium association for the last seven years and now feels threatened by a resident who she says raised his voice at her during a board meeting. She also produced an email he sent her that states, “I don’t think you will want to find out how tough I can be.” Police told the woman to avoid further confrontations with her neighbor.
