Community leaders gathered for the Jewish Family & Children's Services "Bridging the Gap" luncheon Friday, Feb. 12 at The Francis.
The luncheon included a panel of speakers with Hon. Charles E. Williams, Sarasota County Commissioner Carolyn Mason and Booker High School Principal Rachel Shelley. The purpose of the discussion and additional speakers was to introduce individuals and families to social services that are available to the Newtown community.
A follow-up outreach fair for families to attend is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 30 at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex.
