1. THURSDAY, FEB. 18 

After a seven-game road trip, the Lakewood Ranch softball team returns home to face Manatee in Class 8A-District 8 action. The game begins at 7 p.m. A win against the Hurricanes would give the Mustangs an edge for the top district tournament seed with four district games remaining on the schedule. 

2. FRIDAY, FEB. 19

The Lakewood Ranch girls basketball team travels to the Lakeland Center to face Niceville in a Class 7A state semifinal at 10 a.m. It will be the first Final Four appearance for both teams with the winner advancing to the state championship at 4 p.m. Feb. 20. 

3. SATURDAY, FEB. 20 

One of the most colorful days of the year kicks off at 9 a.m. when the Color Vibe 5K splashes across Nathan Benderson Park. Numerous color stations will be set up throughout the course, blasting participants with a happy dose of colorful fun. 

4. TUESDAY, FEB. 23 

With four non-conference games under its belt, the Lakewood Ranch baseball team opens its Class 8A-District 8 schedule when it hosts Palmetto at 7 p.m. The Mustangs won two of their three games against the Tigers last season en route to a district runner-up finish and a regional semifinal appearance.
