Suspicious Circumstance: Police found a car with several pairs of shoes and a purse inside parked in Overlook Park after hours. Three men who were at a fishing pier nearby received a warning for being in the park after hours.

12:53 p.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Parkway
Traffic Accident: A woman told police when she left the grocery store, she noticed her car had rolled out of its parking space and struck a nearby parked car. The damage was minor, and the parties exchanged information.

Boat Violation: Marine Patrol placed a trespass warning on a boat tied to a dock at a closed restaurant that has visible “no trespassing” signs posted.

STORAGE SHOWDOWN

Traffic: A resident told police he wanted construction equipment removed promptly from his property. A man who was removing the equipment when police arrived promised not to use the property in the future for storage.

Larceny: A man reported the theft of his kayak roof racks from the top of his car.

Fire: A light pole issue caused sparking, and the power company responded to repair a faulty power connection switch.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD
11:51 a.m. — 5400 block of GMD
Fraud: A woman reported three unauthorized charges made in South Florida on her gas station credit card. Police gave her a case number for the identity theft.

FAULTY FLUE
6:19 p.m. — 5300 block of GMD
Fire: Firefighter/paramedics extinguished a fire inside a rental cottage fireplace and used ventilation blowers to remove smoke from inside the cottage. The renter told police he was unable to open the flue to the fireplace once the fire started.
CORROSION CRASHDOWN
11:26 p.m. — 400 block of GMD
Property Damage: A resort security guard reported that a 10-foot light pole fell down in a parking lot. Police observed no paint on the pole and noted its base was corroded.
