Sarasota High 5 Moments: 01.07.16

1 — Riverview High swimming coach Brent Arckey was named the 2015 Florida Dairy Farmers Boys’ Swimming Coach of the Year. He also was named the Class 4A boys coach of the year. 

2 — Cellexia Foster scored 26 points and added five assists and eight steals to help lead the Booker High girls basketball team to a 64-37 victory versus Keswick Christian in final of the Keswick Christian Holiday Tournament Dec. 30. 

3 — AJ Caldwell scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Riverview High boys basketball team to a 68-43 victory versus Covington Catholic in the championship of the Suncoast Holiday Classic Dec. 30, at Riverview High. 

4 — Cardinal Mooney’s Emmanuel Lambright was named to the All-Tournament team after helping lead the Cougars to a 72-69 victory against Fort Myers and a third-place overall finish in the Suncoast Holiday Classic Dec. 30, at Riverview High. 

5 — Five players scored in double figures, as the Sarasota Christian boys basketball team beat visiting Tampa Universal Academy 79-71 Jan. 4.
