Second-half surge sparks Rams

Trailing 1-0, the Riverview High boys soccer team scored three goals in the second half to top Sarasota Military Academy 3-1 Jan. 6. 

Senior Chris Mercandetti scored a pair of goals and junior Lucas DePaula added a goal. Senior Jorge Pena had two assists and junior Adi Trifka was credited with an assist. Senior goalkeeper Blake Prodriciny recorded seven saves. 

Riverview returns to action at 7 p.m. Jan. 8, at Venice.
