Residents and members of Temple Sinai got their fix for favorite dishes like pastrami, corned beef and brisket Sunday, Jan. 10 for the 8th annual Jewish Food Festival.
Meats for pastrami and corned beef sandwiches were transported from the New York delicatessen Carnegie and prepared by Temple Sinai staff members. The temple found so much success last year that it decided to bring it back this year for fans of the pastrami and corned beef sandwiches.
First timers Colin and Judy Cunningham were in attendance to get their hands on some of the famed corned beef and pastrami.
"You just can't find that around here," Colin Cunningham said. "Some people try to pass off pastrami from like Boar's Head, but I know the difference."
All of the baked goods and sweets for sale were made by Temple Sinai members. The selection included challah breads, hamentashen cookies, strudel and bundt cakes.
