OBITUARY | Joseph Pappy

Joseph Pappy, 81, of Sarasota and formerly of Kainakary, India, died Jan. 16.

He was a college math professor who traveled and taught worldwide, including at Keiser University, Manatee Junior College and many other schools. He was also an author who wrote four books and was fluent in four languages.

He was a member and lector at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church for many years.

He is preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by one sister, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

A service was held Jan. 22, at St. Mary.
