Registration underway for Senior Games

The 27th Annual Gulf Coast Senior Games, which will be held Feb. 13 through Feb. 21.

Registration for the 27th Annual Gulf Coast Senior Games, which will be held Feb. 13 through Feb. 21, is now available through Feb. 1. 

Fifteen competitive events will be offered at venues throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. 

Competitive events include: 

Archery

Basketball Shooting 

Bocce

Bowling 

Cribbage

Cycling 

Golf

Horseshoes

Pickleball

Racquetball 

Shuffleboard 

Swimming 

Table Tennis

Tennis

Track and Field 

The Gulf Coast Senior Games, which serve as a local qualifier for the 2016 Florida Senior Games State Championships Dec. 5 through Dec. 13, in Clearwater, are open to residents, ages 50 and up. 

For more information and to register visit parksonline.scgov.net. Entry fees are $12 per participant, and includes a T-shirt, with an additional fee of $3 per event to compete. Some events have additional fees.
