Property Damage: A man heard a loud noise and looked out the window. He saw a teenager hitting the mailboxes on the street with his hands and feet. The man attempted to confront the subject, whom he did not recognize, but the teenager ran off. The owner of the house was unaware of the value of the mailbox.

2:09 a.m. — 800 block of South Tamiami Trail
Suspicion: An employee at a fast food restaurant contacted the police regarding a person asleep in a vehicle in the drive-thru. The person left the area before officers arrived, and the employee told an officer he believed the driver was intoxicated. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
BROTHERLY LOVE
2:16 a.m. — 1900 block of Main Street
Dispute: A security employee at a bar asked an officer to remove a customer from the property. The customer had gotten into a fight with another patron, who had left the area before the police arrived. Officers spoke to the customer, who was visibly intoxicated. He said he had gotten into a fight with his brother, who then left the bar and would not answer his cell phone. The customer said he just wanted to go home, so the officer arranged for a cab to pick him up.
MISTAKEN IDENTITY
9:45 p.m. — 1900 block of South School Avenue
Noise Complaint: An officer responded to a call. Once he arrived on the scene, he spoke with a man who said his neighbor was revving a motorcycle and keeping him awake. The man said he did not call the police himself. The officer went to the neighbor’s house and observed there was no motorcycle noise. The officer spoke to the neighbor, who said he was finished working on the motorcycle for the night. The neighbor said he called the police after the man came over and shined a flashlight in his eyes, yelling at him to stop revving the motorcycle.
