The Library Foundation for Sarasota County announced new leadership in the first executive director for the foundation.
The Board of Directors of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County appointed Suzanne Seiter to the position of executive director. Previously she led development and marketing efforts the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the National Constitution Center.
Seiter has been with the Library Foundation for Sarasota County since 2012. She has helped secure donors to create an operating endowment and the Children’s Literacy Endowment.
“She has helped us to create the policies and practices of a strong working board,” said Linda Getzen, President of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County. “As the Library Foundation moves to the next level of organizational maturity, the board is delighted that Sue will serve as our first Executive Director.”
Seiter has served as a management, marketing and fundraising consultant to the Foundation of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Nature Conservancy of Florida, Girls Inc. of Sarasota County, Pines of Sarasota Foundation, University of South Florida St. Petersburg and the Library Foundation for Sarasota County.
She has served in leadership roles on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals SW Florida Chapter and the SW Florida Planned Giving Council.
