St. Armands Craft Festival
Takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on St. Armands Circle. More than 175 artisans will sell their crafts during the annual festival. Call 813-962-0388.

Splashin’ Saturdays 
Runs from 10 a.m. to noon at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 900 Palm Ave. Families are invited to enjoy water activities, water slides and games under the banyans and around the waterfall of the Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden. CHEFS Cooking for Kids
Runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at IMG Academy of Golf Club, 4350 El Conquistador Parkway, Bradenton. The event benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast and includes food and wine tastings and a silent auction. Tickets are $75. Visit bbbssun.org/events.

Flag Day at Patriot Plaza
Runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Patriot Plaza at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72. Celebrate the 239th birthday of the U.S. Flag with a concert by the Pops Orchestra of Bradenton and Sarasota presented by The Stars and Stripes Foundation. Bring a lawn chair or cushion. Admission is free.

Great Father’s Day Race

Film Showing
Starts at 4 p.m. at Unity Church of Sarasota, 3023 Proctor Road. The Congregation for Humanistic Judaism will feature a screening of “The Life & Times of Hank Greenberg.” This documentary film is about a baseball player who transcended ethnic and religious prejudice to become a hero for all Americans. Fathers & Fenders Car Show
Runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Five Points Park, 1 Central Ave. Celebrate Father's Day with about 120 vintage automobiles on display. Trophies, door prizes, music and drinks available. Car entry fee is $10 in advance; $15 the day of the show. Call 953-3788.

Monday, June 20 
Day After Father’s Day Beer Fusion Dinner
Runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at JDubs Brewing Co. and Tap Room, 1215 Mango Ave. Local chef Craig Chasky will whip up five beer- and essential oil-infused courses paired with local JDubs brews. The dinner is limited to 30 seats.Tickets are $30 per person. Visit JDub’s Facebook page for information.

Shrimp & Lobster Fest
Runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sarasota Farmers Market, Main Street and Lemon Avenue. The weekly Sarasota Farmers Market will host the sixth annual Shrimp & Lobster Fest. Grief and Loss Issues
Runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Friendship Center in Sarasota. The Friendship Center for Aging Studies will offer “Grief and Loss Issues: A Biopsychosocial Perspective in Older Adults” and will take place Fridays June 10 and June 17. The course will focus on the importance of identifying and helping older adults work through the various tasks of grief. The course fee is $299 and includes a light breakfast that will be provided.
