Carolyn Johnson, Isabel Norton honored by Leadership Florida

Art advocates Carolyn Johnson and Isabel Norton were recognized with the Leadership Florida Distinguished Member Award in Orlando today, for their work in the Sarasota community. 

Leadership Florida, a state-wide community of leaders actively engaged in serving Florida hosts its annual meeting June 23 to to Sunday at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Norton and Johnson have both serve on the Ringling College of Art and Design board of trustees and have each served terms as chairwomen. They are the co-chairs of the fundraising committee with the most recent fundraising success of helping the college fund the $16 million library on campus.

The 48,000-square-foot library is scheduled to open in August.
