1 — Lakewood Ranch’s Sam Jackson threw the discus 142 feet, 6 inches to win the Booker Invitational event by 12 feet March 4. 

2 — John Bean pitched a complete game and went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Braden River baseball team to a 5-1 district victory over Armwood March 4. 

3— Sarah Crawford hit a pair of two-run homers to lead the Braden River softball team to a 13-2 victory against Armwood in district action March 4. 

4 — Leland Wheeler scored five goals to lead The Out-of-Door Academy boys lacrosse team to a 17-0 victory over Admiral Farragut March 2. 

5 — Lakewood Ranch’s Gabe Overmyer won the heavyweight weightlifting title at the Manatee County Championship March 1 at Manatee High.
