12:23 a.m. — 4600 block of North Tamiami Trail
Dispute: A patron at a bar said a group of three women was disturbing the bartender and other customers around them. After arriving on the scene, an officer attempted to make contact with the women, but none of them were cooperative and all of them declined to share their names. The women eventually agreed to leave the area at the request of the bartender and the officer.
UNHEALTHY WORK ETHIC
12:25 a.m. — 1900 block of Ringling Boulevard
Trespass: An employee at a theater said another former employee kept returning to the property, despite numerous requests for him to leave and stay away. He eventually agreed to leave earlier in the night, only to return through the back of the business. The employee eventually issued the former employee a trespass warning, and an officer informed the former employee he could not return to the location for a year. The former employee said he understood and left the area in a taxi.
HOG GONE
10:45 a.m. — 2500 block of Ringling Boulevard
Misc. Officer: A woman called authorities after a pig got onto her property. The woman said the pig was trying to get into her house, and she just wanted it removed from her property. Officers made contact with the woman’s neighbors, who own the pig and agreed to return it to their property.
MISTAKEN IDENTITY
12:30 p.m. — 1800 block of South Tamiami Trail
Suspicion: An employee at a gas station said a man came into the store and attempted to purchase two 18-packs of beer. The man presented a Georgia ID card, which the employee recognized as belonging to someone else. The employee questioned the man about the birthday on the ID, which the man answered incorrectly. The man left the store and got into a car with several other men before leaving the area. The employee contacted police because the man left behind the ID card.

4:20 p.m. — 3000 block of East Tamiami Circle
Suspicion: A woman contacted the police after hearing a strange noise in her living room. Officers checked the room, and observed that the noise seemed to be coming from inside of the wall. The woman speculated that the noise was coming from some type of animal. Officers took no further action in the case.
