THURSDAY, March 17

The Cardinal Mooney girls and boys lacrosse teams will travel to St. Stephen’s for a district match between two of the area’s top programs. The girls will play at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m. 

FRIDAY, March 18

The Sarasota softball team will welcome spring break with the annual Sarasota Spring Slam, at the Miss Sarasota Softball Complex. The Sailors will face Tampa Alonso at 3 p.m. to open the tournament, followed by Fort Myers at 5 p.m. The 16-team tournament runs through March 19. 

SATURDAY, March 19

Forty-six of the top track teams from across the state, including Sarasota, Riverview and Booker, will hit the track for the IMG Academy Invitational. Field events and the 4x800 relay will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the remainder of the running events scheduled to begin at noon. 

MONDAY, March 21 

The Sarasota, Riverview and Cardinal Mooney baseball teams will be part of the 16-team field during the annual Sarasota Baseball Classic, which runs through March 25. Cardinal Mooney will face Mandarin at 4:30 p.m., at the Buck O’Neil Sports Complex, at Twin Lakes Park. Sarasota will host Bartow at 7:30 p.m., at Sarasota High, while Riverview will host Canterbury School at 7:30 p.m. on its home field behind Suncoast Polytechnical High.
