East County High 5 Moments: 03.24.16

1 — Madi LoCastro went 2-for-2 with a pair of homers, three RBI and three runs scored to power the Lakewood Ranch softball team past rival Braden River 10-6 in non-district action March 15. 

2 — Senior Tyler Dyson tossed a four-hitter and also went 2-for-4 with three RBI to lead the Braden River baseball team to a 9-1 victory over rival Lakewood Ranch March 16. 

3 — Lexi Myers and Tess Siciliano had six goals apiece as The Out-of-Door Academy girls lacrosse team rolled past Community School of Naples 22-8 March 16. 

4 — Braden River’s Matt Zimmerman and Anzonni Hause-Reyes both defended their county weightlifting titles in the 119-and 169-pound weight classes, respectively, at the Class 2A-District 13 championship March 18 at Lakewood Ranch. 

5 — Gail Zinn used her driver to record a hole-in-one March 15 on the 145-yard No. 17 hole at Rosedale Golf & Country Club.
