BRSC U13 girls win Region C tourney

The Braden River Soccer Club U13 Girls Premier team captured the Florida Youth Soccer Association’s Region C tournament March 19 and March 20.

The Braden River Soccer Club U13 Girls Premier team captured the Florida Youth Soccer Association’s Region C tournament March 19 and March 20, in Auburndale. 

The Rage outscored their opponents 12-0 throughout the tournament and were the lone team in the 463-team boys and girls tournament who didn’t allow a goal during the five-game tournament. 

Jenna Santiago, Krystal Parra, Alise Mirikitani, Amelia Vazquez, McKenzie Hopkins, Kaylee Cooper and Corinne Kasten all score goals for Braden River. Vazquez, Jordan Golden, Olivia Fair and Savannah Barron helped preserve the shutouts. 

In the Division I finals, Braden River beat FSC Florida SC Girls Spirit of 02/03 2-0. 

The Rage now will advance to the President’s Cup to be held at the end of April, in Auburndale.
