Braden River's Linda Ross had three hits, including a double, three RBI and scored three runs in the Pirates Class 7A-Region 3 victory against Seminole Osceola April 26.

1 — Linda Ross had a double, two singles, three RBI and three runs scored to lead the Braden River softball team to a 13-0 victory over Seminole Osceola in the Class 7A-Region 3 semifinals April 26.

2 — Braden River sophomore Alyssa Gagnon qualified for the Class 3A state meet in two events after finishing second in the 4x400-meter relay and fourth in the 800, at the Region 3 meet April 28, at Charlotte High.

3 — Peter McQue used his 7-iron to record a hole-in-one April 19 on the 153-yard No. 4 hole of Rosedale Golf & Country Club.

4 — Lakewood Ranch senior outfielder Trevor Losada hit a two-run triple in the top second inning to help power the Mustangs to a 5-3 victory against Clearwater Countryside in a Class 8A-Region 2 quarterfinal April 27.

5 — Lakewood Ranch pitcher Logan Newton tallied 10 strikeouts in the Mustangs' 2-1 loss to Clearwater Countryside in the Class 8A-Region semifinals April 26.
