Out of the Gates into the Winners’ Circle

What: InStride Therapy, Inc.’s Derby Day will feature hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a live and silent auction and a raffle. The Kentucky Derby race will be shown. The event will benefit InStride Therapy, Inc., which helps improve the physical and neurological status of individuals with special needs through the therapeutic use of horses. Cost is $150. Classic Corvettes on the Circle — Takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Armands Circle Park. See more than 150 models of classic Corvettes at the 20th annual show. Proceeds will be donated to the Honor Flight of West Central Florida. Call 993-4201.

Fiesta de Tortugas — Takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedars Café and Tiki Bar, 645 Cedars Court. The event will support Mote Marine Laboratory’s Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program and the Longboat Key Turtle Watch education programs. Cost is $20. Call 383-6428.
