Sarasota's Jaasiel Torres cleared 6 feet, 4 inches to finish third at the Class 4A state meet May 6.

1 — Riverview golfer Nicole Polivchak finished second at the IMG Junior Golf Tour Orange Lake event April 30 and May 1, in Kissimmee.

2 — Booker sophomore James Boldin drove in three runs in the first inning to help lead the Tornadoes to a 12-2 five-inning victory versus St. Petersburg Lakewood in a Class 5A-Region 3 semifinal May 3.

3 — Sarasota sophomore Jaasiel Torres finished cleared 6 feet, 4 inches to finish third in the high jump at the Class 4A state meet May 6, at IMG Academy.

4 — Booker senior Jamal Watson finished sixth in the shot put at the Class 2A state meet May 6, at IMG Academy, with a heave of 49 feet, 7.50 inches.

5 — Cardinal Mooney senior Tyler Mattes hit a double to drive in the Cougars' only run in its 4-1 loss to Bishop Verot in the Class 4A-Region 3 finals May 3.
