Positano condo sells for $3 million

The Unit 306 condominium at 4975 Gulf of Mexico Drive has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,343 square feet of living area.

The following residential real estate transactions took place between May 2 and May 6.

A condominium in Positano tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Charles and Miriam Wood, of Middlesex, Mass., sold their Unit 306 condominium at 4975 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Ronald and Andrea Defeo, of Longboat Key, for $3 million. Built in 2007, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,343 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3,814,400 in 2007.

The Pierre
Patricia Kaplowitz, of Lakewood Ranch, sold the Unit 601 condominium at 455 Longboat Club Drive to Alan Shor, trustee, of Dallas, for $1.3 million. Built in 1990, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 2,780 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.34 million in 2004.

Country Club Shores
Jeffrey Levey and Roberta Schaefer, of Bradenton, sold their home at 551 Putting Green Lane to Elizabeth and George Zeino, of Longboat Key, for $1,105,000. Built in 1977, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,385 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $799,000 in 2014.

Beachplace
John and Patricia Bailey, of Ontario, Canada, sold their Unit 504 condominium at 1105 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Robert and Katherine Long, of Carlisle, Pa., for $900,000. Built in 1981, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,819 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $245,000 in 1984.

Grand Bay
Stephen and Susan Delman, of Weehawken, N.J., sold their Unit 512 condominium at 3080 Grand Bay Blvd. to Charles and Christine Shivery, of Avon, Conn., for $595,000. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,276 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $550,000 in 2008.

Islander Club of Longboat
Erica Lazi sold the Unit 86-N condominium at 2301 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Nader and Vicki Tomasbi, of Goshen, Ind., for $570,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,235 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $175,000 in 1991.

The Privateer North
John and Juanita Albert, of Portland, sold their Unit 205 condominium at 1050 Longboat Club Road to Robert and Debra Rocke, of Tampa, for $520,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,290 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $535,000 in 2004.

Elinor Welson, trustee, of W. Hartford, Conn., sold the Unit 305 condominium at 1050 Longboat Club Road to Agnes Peterson and Klara Szilagyi, of Stamford, Conn., for $470,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,290 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $170,000 in 1987.

Buttonwood Cove
Dale Natoli, trustee, of Longboat Key, sold the Unit 301 condominium at 3660 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Gordon and Maripat Snyder, of Tampa, for $455,000. Built in 1980, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,486 square feet of living area.

Windward Bay
Susan and Lloyd Grainger sold their Unit PH-3 condominium at 4500 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Richard and Laura Snyder, of Hebron, Ky., for $430,800. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,096 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $310,000 in 2010.

Fairway Bay
Brett Roberts, of Ocean Beach, N.Y., sold his Unit 2102 condominium at 2012 Harbourside Drive to Vassiliy and Viktoriya Larchenko, of Denver, for $380,000. Built in 1985, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,598 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $345,000 in 2004.  

Whitney Beach
Robert and Sherri Gaynor, of Southborough, Mass., sold their Unit 177 condominium at 6750 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Dana Tighe and Jean Reposa, of Somerville, Mass., for $342,400. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,367 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $210,000 in 2001.

Beach Harbor Club
Gordon and Maripat Snyder, of Tampa, sold their Unit C-103 condominium at 3806 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Charles and Donna Powell, of Pickerington, Ohio, for $256,500. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,026 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $109,000 in 2000.

Longboat Arms
John and Doreen Collins, of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, and Norman and Eileen Amondsen, of Smiths, Bermuda, sold their Unit 208-C condominium at 3320 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Coble Enterprises LLC for $248,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,154 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $202,500 in 2007.

BIRD KEY

Patrick and Rene’ DiPinto, of Sarasota, sold their home at 658 Mourning Dove Drive to Thomas and Paula Hawk, of Sarasota, for $1.8 million. Built in 1968, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,472 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $980,700 in 2012.

William and Judith Stanford, of Sarasota, sold their home at 450 Meadow Lark Drive to Patrick and Rene’ DiPinto, of Sarasota, for $1.1 million. Built in 1974, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,137 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 1994.

Sandra Chororos, of Sarasota, sold her home at 245 Bird Key Drive to Harvey and Phyllis Katz, of Long Branch, N.J., for $1,035,000. Built in 1976, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,515 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $590,000 in 2013.

Patrick Williams, of Lexington, Ky., sold his Unit 8A condominium at 1700 Benjamin Franklin to Larry and Susan Barkell, of Plymouth, Mich., for $645,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,492 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $210,000 in 1994.

Lido Beach House
Laura and Thomas Flood, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 6 condominium at 945 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Scott MacQueen and Sonia Farwell, of Sarasota, for $480,000. Built in 1989, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,306 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $446,500 in 2011.  

Sarasota Harbour East
David and Catherine Hanson, trustees, of St. Paul, Minn., sold the Unit 27 condominium at 775 John Ringling Blvd. to Larry and Sharon Esswein, of Hilliard, Ohio, for $387,500. Built in 1965, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 882 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $237,500 in 2002.
