Riverview running back Areon Green and the Rams will travel to North Fort Myers for their spring game May 26.

THURSDAY, May 26

After three weeks of practice, the Riverview High football team will finally get an opportunity to see where it stands heading into the summer when it travels to North Fort Myers for its spring game. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, May 28

Area rowers will hit the water at 8 a.m. for the American Youth Cup Series III regatta, at Nathan Benderson Park. The annual series of three not-for-profit regattas serve as a lead up to the USRowing Youth National Championships and the Saratoga Jr B/C National Championships.

SATURDAY, May 28-SUNDAY, May 29

Dozens of youth and high school lacrosse teams from Florida and around the country will converge on the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch for the third annual Laxpalooza’s Warrior Shootout. Pool play will begin at 8 a.m. and continue throughout the day with championship rounds slated for May 29.

WEDNESDAY, June 1

Calling all runners. In honor of National Running Day, Fleet Feet Sarasota will participate in Fleet Feet’s All 4 Run, beginning at 6 p.m. with one-and three-mile family-friendly runs. The event, which will be held at 711 S. Osprey Ave., is free and open to the public.
