FRIDAY, Nov. 25—SATURDAY, Nov. 26

The Lakewood Ranch boys basketball team will participate in the Lightning Turkey Shoot at Lehigh High School. Sixteen teams will play in the tournament. The Mustangs play Martin County at 7:45 p.m. on Friday and Belen Jesuit at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.

MONDAY, Nov. 28

The Lakewood Ranch girls soccer team takes on Mariner at home at 7 p.m. The Tritons lost just three regular-season games last year and have a strong squad again. They will be a tough test for the Mustangs’ University of Maryland commit Gi Krstec and assist machine Makenzie Fischer.

MONDAY, Nov. 28

The Out-of-Door Academy boys basketball team tips off its season with a 7 p.m. home game against Imagine School. Last season, the Thunder got off to a 7-1 start, but slowed to a 12-10 final regular-season record. Now, ODA hopes to put together a consistent season on the backs of senior shooting guard Andrew Berg and junior point guard Chase Maasdorp.

WEDNESDAY, Nov. 30

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team will take on Portugal at 7 p.m. as part of the 2016 Nike International Friendlies and U.S. Soccer Academy Winter Showcase at Premier Sports Campus. Joe Gallardo is a star in the making and has 14 goals in 19 games with the U.S. team.
