NOV. 13
QUARRELING COUPLE

10:45 p.m. — 2600 block of Harbourside Drive
Public Disturbance: A man reported a verbal disturbance with a couple arguing loudly at a marina. The male and female continued to argue as they left on foot. Police were unable to find the pair, and the guard at the gate said he had not seen them.

POSSIBLE UFO 
6:31 p.m. — 4300 block of GMD
Public Service: A man reported a light appears in the sky almost every night for a few hours. When police called, the man said the light was in the sky now. While en route, the man called back to say the light was gone. He was advised to call again if the light reappears.

QUICK SEARCH

3:43 p.m. — Offshore Longboat Key
Overdue Kayaker: Manatee County Marine Patrol requested help from Longboat Key Marine Patrol in finding a kayaker who had not returned as scheduled. The subject was later reported found, and police ended their search.

NOV. 17
SWIMMER SHOCK

11:40 a.m. — 100 block of North Shore Road
Larceny: A Bradenton woman reported her $30 Toyota key fob with her car key and her iPhone 4 were stolen from the beach during the 20 minutes she was in the water. The car was undisturbed.
 

DOOR KNOCKERS
7:15 p.m. — 400 block of GMD
Suspicious Person: A salesman knocking on doors in Channel Lane was reported, but police could not find the person. Police noted this may be the beginning of people knocking on doors, posing as sales representatives during the Christmas season.

LOCKED IN
10:24 p.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Parkway
Business Alarm: A grocery store alarm was triggered by an employee who had been locked in after closing. The store manager returned to let the employee out and reset the alarm.

NOV. 18
TRIM TROUBLE

9:18 a.m. — 500 block of Channel Lane
Property Damage: A woman reported a tree trimmer damaged a tree, lawn and two solar lawn lights valued at $10 by backing a vehicle onto her property. Photos of the damage were filed with police.

DRIFTWOOD THEFT
4:04 p.m. — 200 block of North Shore Road
Suspicious Person: A caller reported people were putting driftwood into a black Jeep. As he was taking photos of the group, a female knocked his phone from his hand. Police could not find the Jeep.

ROGUE RIDER
4:08 p.m. — 700 block of Norton Street
Property Damage: A man reported a neighbor told him a Waste Management truck driver backed over a back-flow prevention device through his grass and struck a small brick retaining wall and driveway gate. The witness provided a typed statement of what he saw. The damaged property had already been fixed, and the victim did not know what it cost because he didn’t receive bills.
