A celebration of Ron Johnson’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 2, in the Keating Education Center of Mote Marine Laboratory, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway. Johnson was a former Longboat Key mayor and an avid volunteer at Mote.
