Thanks to the "Forty for 40" campaign and a series of last minute donations, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County said it is excited to announce it reached it's $150,000 fundraising goal for the Lori White Endowment Fund on March 31.

A $50,000 capping grant from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, which was triggered when the foundation reached its $150,000 benchmark, brings the total of the Lori White Endowment Fund to $200,000.

The fund is designed to provide professional development and extended education opportunities to Sarasota County teachers.

“It was incredible to have so many donors give to not only honor Lori White but, more importantly, to support teachers in our community,” Education Foundation President Jennifer Vigne said. “It is a privilege for the Education Foundation of Sarasota County to establish a fund that will elevate our educators and ultimately provide opportunities for growth.”
