1 — Braden River softball pitcher Ali Yawn threw a three-hitter April 13 in the Pirates’ 3-0 win over Sarasota, and had two hits and drove in a run. Only four Sailors reached base against Yawn.

2 —Savannah Alario, a senior at The Out-of-Door Academy and a Sarasota Crew rower, committed to the University of Miami on April 12 for crew.

3 — Lakewood Ranch softball senior Morgan Cummins had three hits, including a homer, and six RBI April 11 in the Mustangs’ 13-6 win over Charlotte.

4 — Braden River senior wrestler Chance Sharbono signed a scholarship with Central Missouri University April 11.

5 — On April 13, the team of Sandra Seley, Julia Dennis and Nancy Lopiccolo won Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club's Women's Golf Association nine-hole President's Day scramble event, shooting a handicapped 27.
