Sarasota resident Summer Lemieux, 26, was charged with four drug-related felonies after police officers pulled her over as she was driving down Goodrich Avenue in reverse around 10:15 p.m. July 8, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
Arriving on scene to check out reports of gun shots fired in the the area of 29th Street and Goodrich Avenue, SPD officers saw Lemieux driving her car in reverse northbound down Goodrich Avenue. Though there was no further action taken following the reports of gun shots, the officers saw marijuana clearly visible on Lemieux's dashboard.
After pulling her over, officers discovered in her vehicle 126.9 grams of marijuana, 3 grams of cocaine, weight scales and other drug paraphernalia, according to the SPD. Lemieux was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance without prescription, one felony count of possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a church with intent to sell and one felony count of possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church with intent to sell.
Lemieux was taken to the Sarasota County Jail where she was released on July 9 after posting a $30,500 bond through a bail bond company.
