East County High 5 Moments: 07.12.17

1 — Recent Lakewood Ranch graduate Sophia Falco was named the Florida Runners Girls Field Event Athlete Of The Year on July 3.

2 — Braden River's Camie Lizardi, who will be a senior next semester, was named to Puerto Rico’s U20 girls soccer team on July 6.

3 — Former Lakewood Ranch pitcher Seth McGarry played in the Florida State League All-Star game on June 17. McGarry plays for the Bradenton Marauders, the Single A-affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

4 — Gordon Marshall, Tracy Graham, Donn Patchen and Sherri Patchen won Palm Aire Country Club's Firecracker Shootout (two best balls of four format) on July 4. The foursome shot a combined 28-under-par.

5 — The Lakewood Ranch boys basketball team finished its summer league season 21-2, and 20-0 when all three of its returning stars (Damien Gordon, Jack Kelly, Evan Spiller) played.
