Little League

The Sarasota All-Stars defeated South Orlando 4-1 to win the South Florida State Babe Ruth Tournament. South Orlando forfeited the game after a collision at the plate in the fifth inning. Alec Boot-Handford got the win for Sarasota. The team now advances to the Babe Ruth Southeast Region Tournament in Greenville, N.C.

The Sarasota Sharks won the Florida Age Group Long Course Championships at Selby Aquatic Center. The team totaled 1,601 points, to second-place Jacksonville Loggerhead Aquatics' 1559.5.
