Thomas C. Webb

Thomas “Tom” Webb, 82, of Sarasota, died July 1.

Tom was born on Aug. 7, 1934, to the late John C. and Margaret M. Webb, in Guthrie Center, Iowa.

He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1953.

He married Donna Rose Schake, his high school sweetheart, on March 30, 1956, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. Tom was employed at Standard Register, Wisconsin Power and Light, Central Maine Power and retired as CEO of Central Vermont Public Service in 1995.

Tom and Donna retired to their beloved “camp” of 40 years on Maranacook Lake in Readfield, Maine, during the summer and to Longboat Key during the winter.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Webb Fish.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna; daughter Jodi Webb; sons Todd Webb and Tim; grandsons Tanner and Skylar Webb; and numerous relatives and friends.

Stephen Green

Stephen Green, 85, of Lakewood Ranch, died July 12.

He was born on March 30, 1932, in Cambridge, Mass., to the late William and Anna Green.

He graduated from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Stephen graduated from New England College of Pharmacy and purchased a Liggett Rexall Drug Store in Malden, Mass., which he operated for 25 years.

He was a past master of Shawmut Lodge in Boston. He and his wife, Joelle, retired to Longboat Key in 1988. While there, he worked as a pharmacist at Kmart for 18 years.

Stephen enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, theater, concerts, tennis, swimming and walking. He was passionate about religion and politics.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Green; sister, Marion Green; and son-in-law William Grant.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joelle Parnes Green; daughters Helaine Grant and Nancy Cook; son David Green; four grandchildren; two brothers-in-laws; one sister-in-law.
