1 — Former Cardinal Mooney High boys basketball player Antonio Blakeney signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls and its G-League affiliate on July 14.

2 — Siblings Skye Ehrhart, 18, and Terra Ehrhart, 14, won the Club 420 division of the USA Junior Olympic Sailing Festival in Portland, Maine, on July 12. Skye Ehrhart attends The Out-of-Door Academy, and Terra Ehrhart attends Riverview.

3 — The Sarasota Sharks swim team won the Florida Age Group Long Course Championships at Selby Aquatic Center on July 16.

4 — The 13-15 Sarasota All-Stars defeated South Orlando, 4-1, to win the South Florida State Babe Ruth Tournament on July 16. Alec Boot-Handford pitched a complete game for the win.

5 — Former Riverview and current Middle Tennessee wide receiver Richie James was named to the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list.
