The steady rain and gray clouds almost put a damper on Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium’s Mommy and Me Camp.
But just almost.
Thankfully, by the time the campers were ready to explore Sarasota Bay, the rain turned to a drizzle and the sun started breaking through the clouds.
By the time the campers had nets in their hands, the rain had completely stopped.
With nets in tow, the campers and “their favorite adults” took to the water to search for marine life. Campers found shells, crabs and even some egg sacs.
Mote’s Mommy and Me education is for those aged 2 to 5. Classes are offered every week, whether it be through summer camps or outreach programs.
