High school football camp officially starts next week, but Booker rising senior Talik Keaton had some news to deliver before that occurred.
The three-star athlete verbally committed to the University of South Florida on July 29. The announcement came via Twitter.
"It was the best choice," Keaton said about USF. "I love the school."
Keaton is a wide receiver by trade, and is being recruited by the Bulls as such, but will play quarterback for the Tornadoes in the fall. Booker coach Dumaka Atkins called Keaton a "gifted" athlete during spring practices, and hopes his skills will translate to the new position.
Keaton chose the Bulls over Purdue, Indiana and Syracuse universities, among others.
