June 4

BURGER WARS

7100 block of State Road 70 East, Bradenton

Information only: A fast-food restaurant employee reported to the Sheriff's Office that a fellow employee had threatened her on a Facebook post. The woman said the other woman hadn't been getting along with her and had been unprofessional and disrespectful. She had been informed by a coworker of a Facebook post that the other woman had posted which said she would hit the first woman if she didn't think she would be reported to the police. Other the first woman wasn't identified by name, she said she is the only one have confrontations with the other woman. The first woman also said the other woman threatening her has asked friends to come to the restaurant to harass her. The first woman has since left the restaurant, but wanted the incident documented.

June 5

SPUD FARM FRACAS

13000 Block of Dickey Road, Parrish

Battery: A man and his girlfriend were given a ride by another man to a potato farm where the man had been a longtime employee so he could collect his check. The first man went into the office and had a disagreement over the amount of the check with his employer. The woman claims the employer came out and shut the car door on her hand. The employer and one of his current employees told deputies they never went near the car. The man and his girlfriend were asked to leave, which they attempted to do. But then the driver who gave them the ride, kicked them out of the car by the farm's gate. The driver grabbed the woman, dragged her out of the car and splashed water on her from a puddle before leaving them. The woman declined filling out an affidavit.

June 5

TURF TOSS CAUSES TURMOIL

3000 block of Whitfield Avenue, Sarasota

Assault: Deputies responded in reference to a suspicious person who has throw lawn debris at a coworker. Several lawn workers were upset at their coworker and told the deputies about the incident. The employee who was the target did not want to press charges. Further information could not be obtained because all the workers were upset about the incident and left.

June 8

A DOUBLE GRAND TIME

8100 block of Lakewood Main Street, Lakewood Ranch

Found Property: The Sheriff's Office was contacted when a woman stated she had found $2,000 in cash that had been folded in half and held together by a rubber band. The woman found the money between two cars in the parking lot. The woman did not wish to claim the property. The money was counted and entered into property and evidence at District 3
