Congratulations to our 2016 weather and nature photo contest winner, Stan Singer! Stan captured this shot of a reflected sunset on Longboat Key along the shore at Beachplace in March 2016.

And thank you to everyone who submits amazing photos to us! Every weather and nature photo you've sent to us this year is submitted to our 2017 contest.

Each week, photos are chosen to run in the Longboat Observer, Sarasota Observer and East County Observer. Each month, three of those photos are chosen to win $25 gift cards. Then they are entered to win the grand prize: a $2,500 flooring makeover, courtesy of Manasota Flooring. (The grand prize winner must own a home in Sarasota or Manatee counties.)
