Todd Johnson stepped down as coach of the Riverview football team on June 26.

Johnson has accepted a non-football job.

Josh Smithers, an assistant on last year's playoff team, has been named the interim coach. Smithers coached Cardinal Mooney for eight seasons, and held a 42-42 record.

The Rams went 9-2 last season, and recorded their first playoff win since 2004.
