1 — Cardinal Mooney boys soccer senior Alex Turner won the Class 2A Player of the Year award in the Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Soccer voting for the second year in a row.

2 — Riverview baseball senior Chris Schiavo threw a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts in the Rams’ 4-0 win over Manatee on March 1.

3 — Booker baseball senior Alex Amero threw a shortened perfect game (five innings - mercy rule) in the Tornadoes’ 14-0 win over the Gulf Coast HEAT on Feb. 28.

4 — Cardinal Mooney boys lacrosse senior attacker Patrick Warren had seven goals and two assists in the Cougars’ 20-0 win over the Sarasota Military Academy on March 1.

5 — Sarasota junior wrestler Michael Bush finished second in the Class 3A, 113-pound division at the state tournament on March 4.
