It's out with the old and in with the new for the Ringling College Library Association Town Hall Lecture Series.
As the 2017 series comes to a close, incoming RCLA chairwoman Emily Walsh announced the 2018 roster before former Mexican President Felipe Calderon took the RCLA stage March 22.
Subscription tickets for RCLA members will go on sale on May 1. Tickets will be available to the public on June 15. Here's the lineup:
Former CIA Director John Brennan will open the series on Jan. 22, 2018. Brennan led the CIA from 2013 to January 2017. Brennan will share his first-hand perspective as a leader in the intelligence gathering, covert action and counterintelligence.
Jon Meacham is slated to follow up Brennan with a scholarly perspective on politics and history. The bestselling author, Pulitzer Prize winner and frequent contributor on "Morning Joe" will speak to Ringling Town Hall audiences Feb. 12, 2018.
From baseball to Wall Street corruption, Michael Lewis has written about it all. The best-selling author is best known for his books "Moneyball," "The Blind Side," and "The Big Short." He'll be speaking to Ringling Town Hall audiences March 5, 2018.
Columbia University professor and cancer physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital Siddhartha Mukherjee spent 10 years researching his first book, "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer." It tells the story of how cancer has plagued humanity for thousands of years. He is scheduled to speak March 19, 2018.
Lawyer, politician and advocate Reshma Saujani will close the 2018 Town Hall series. She is the founder and CEO of the technology nonprofit Girls Who Code. Saujani will speak about the organization and its mission to close the gender gap in technology fields on April 9.
