Alan Pollak, a member of the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce and co-owner of Serve to Protect LLC, served some time March 8 behind bars. But, it was all for a good cause. Pollak spent a shift in jail to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy and ALS. As of March 13, Pollak had raised more than $700 for ALS.
