John Ringling Estates home sells for $2,855,000

A home in John Ringling Estates Inc. tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Darol Fry and Medora Dashiell, of Sarasota, sold their home at 178 N. Washington Drive to David Kirshner and Leslie Kirshner, trustees, of Sarasota, for $2,855,000. Built in 1948, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,403 square feet of living area.

Sabal Cove

William Beckmeyer Jr. and Maria Watts sold their home at 3340 Sabal Cove Lane to David and Stephanie Citron, of Ruxton, Md., for $1.1 million. Built in 1991, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,640 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $707,000 in 1992.

Bird Key

Pamela Tenaerts, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 613 S. Owl Drive to Moira and Mark Hintsa, of Fairfield, Conn., for $900,000. Built in 1966, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,991 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $435,100 in 2009.

Jack Chesbro, trustee, of Seattle, sold the Unit 605 condominium at 1095 Gulf of Mexico Drive to H. Carleton and Eloise Godsey, of Prospect, Ky., for $800,000. Built in 1981, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,819 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $245,000 in 1986.

Gordon and Cynthia Hathaway, of Sarasota, sold their home at 579 Bayview Drive to Barbara Bostic, of Longboat Key, for $700,000. Built in 1971, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,144 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $379,000 in 2001.

Godfrey and Ann Bernice Lancashire, of Manchester, United Kingdom, sold their Unit 306 condominium at 1485 Gulf of Mexico Drive to William and Alice Sandifer, of Kendall Park, N.J., for $565,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,554 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $261,000 in 1991.

Lindsey Fisher and Catherine Glendon-Fisher, of New York City, sold their Unit 301 condominium at 4700 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Bart and Antionette King, of Kansas City, Mo., for $385,000. Janice and Christopher Amstutz, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 1 condominium at 800 S. Boulevard of the Presidents to Sean Evans and Aimee Evans, trustees, of Broadlands, Va., for $370,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,090 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $307,700 in January.

Suzanne Huttenstine, of Bow, Wash., sold the Unit 184 condominium at 683 El Centro to Mary Beth and James Snyder, of Longboat Key, for $294,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,277 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $225,000 in 2008.

Abby Lisk, Deborah Gotsch, Rebecca Gotsch, trustees, of Winchester, Va., sold the Unit 201 condominium at 4380 Exeter Drive to Randall Blevins and Pamela O’Halloran-Blevins, of Tulsa, Okla., for $270,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,168 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $159,000 in 2000.

Margaret Reed sold the Unit 25 condominium at 763 John Ringling Blvd. to Margaret Reed, trustee, of Wilton, Conn., for $265,000. Built in 1963, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 816 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $60,000 in 1985.
