Lakewood Ranch travel agency joins select group down under

Isabel Lund McCarthy of Main Street Travel was one of 300 people in the world to be invited to the inaugural Corroboree West trade event in the Queensland, Australia. She left for Australia on Oct. 9 and returned Oct. 14. 

The event targeted some of the top travel agents from Europe and the United States to become qualified "Aussie Specialists." 

"I experienced places I hadn't experienced before," McCarthy said. "My favorite part was holding a baby kangaroo — it was so cute."
