GYM SPAT
10 a.m. — 1000 block of South Euclid Avenue
Property damage: A man discovered damage to his car, which was parked in a gym parking lot. The man believed the damage was intentional. The day before, he and another gym member were in a dispute regarding the use of workout equipment. After the man left the gym, the other gym member walked behind him and said, “You messed with the wrong (person).” The man suspects the other gym member was responsible for the damage.

Oct. 26

BAD SCRATCH
9:37 p.m. — 2200 block of Floyd Street
Property damage: A man reported that another man knocked on his door and asked for money. The man did not give him any money, so the other man got mad and started yelling. The next morning, the man discovered that his car was scratched up. He reviewed his security camera system and saw the other man scratching the car. The man said he knows the other man because he purchased his home from him years ago, but said they are not friends. The man said he did not want to prosecute the offender, but he doesn’t want him back on his property.

MOTOR MOUTH
10:48 a.m. — 3600 block of South Tamiami Trail
Dispute: A woman said a man revved his motorcycle engine loudly while she and her boyfriend were walking into a store. The man also went into the store. When the woman and her boyfriend left the store, they shook their heads at the man because they were upset he revved his engine. The man followed them outside and got into an argument with them. The woman said the man left, but she reported the incident because they did not like that he got in their faces. When an officer arrived, the man was no longer in the area.

J’ACCUZ!
2:31 p.m. — 3800 block of North Tamiami Trail
Suspicion: A maintenance worker found a large hot tub cut up and put in the property’s trash bin. Another worker at the property called the police and said the hot tub did not belong to her business. She believes a person who lived across the street put it there. She said she saw the same hot tub sitting in the front yard of a neighboring property recently. An officer could not get in contact with the resident, but told the worker to call the city to arrange to pick up the hot tub.
